Dry sorption makes it possible to achieve high separation efficiencies without producing liquid waste at low operating costs.

Dry technology is based on sorption of contaminants on solid particles that are sprayed directly into the gas stream. These dry sorbents are then separated from the gas together with dust particles in a downstream fabric filter.

When applying dry-sorption technology, we inject the sorbent in the form of a finely ground powder into the gas. Our special spray lances ensure its perfect dispersion and guarantee effective contact with the gas. The injection takes place either in a special reactor or directly inside the gas pipeline or duct. In the next step, the sorbent particles are captured on the fabric filter together with dust particles and other solid pollutants. Cleaned gas is leaving the filter and loose products are continuously discharged from filter hoppers.

We design dry technologies with the following sorbents:

  • Calcium-based sorbents – These are suitable for the sorption of acidic contaminants (SO2, HCl, HF) at low operating costs.
  • Sodium-based sorbents – An effective method suitable for a wide range of temperatures which results in smaller amount of loose products separated in the filter.
  • Activated-carbon-based sorbents The most effective option for removing heavy metals, dioxins, and furans.
  • Mixed sorbents Pre-prepared mixtures that combine the advantages of individual components that are suitable for specific applications.

The installation of our technology is preceded by the selection of process parameters and detailed design of individual devices for effective dry sorption. By selecting the appropriate type of sorbent and ensuring optimal operating conditions, we are able to supply you with reliable technology that does not produce any liquid waste and is able to operate at low costs.
